Stella "Sue" Pittman, a woman of remarkable resolve, boundless energy, and a heart that always had room for one more, passed away at the age of 93. Born on November 27, 1932, in Eastland, Texas, to John and Pauline Miller, Sue lived a life defined by hard work, creative passions, and an ironclad devotion to her family.

Above all else, Sue was a woman of profound and unwavering faith. She walked through every chapter of her 93 years with the quiet peace that comes from trusting fully in the Lord's plan.

Sue's professional journey was as vibrant and varied as her personality. She pursued her artistic calling as a professional photographer, capturing the world through her lens, and held positions at Pat Walker's Figure Salon and Exxon Mobil. Sewing was a lifelong hobby that "paid"; she sewed for her children and herself for years, eventually sewing cheer uniforms for many elementary cheer squads throughout the Permian Basin.

After raising her children, Sue lived life to the fullest, enjoying traveling, camping, fishing, and even competitive square dancing. If given the opportunity to travel, she was ready to go. When her "Golden" years arrived, she became an integral part of the Midland Senior Center, where she enjoyed her ceramic and crafting hobbies. Characteristically, she also worked for the center, driving fellow seniors to appointments, shopping, and lunches—all the while building friendships.

A prolific journaler throughout her life, Sue documented her journey with a dedicated hand. She was rarely still; if she wasn't reading or scrapbooking, she was painting ceramics or crocheting blankets that would become cherished family keepsakes. She had a lifelong love for spiritual and country music, a famous affinity for candy, and a deep devotion to Cotton Flat Baptist Church in Midland. Throughout her life, she loved her "fur babies," including her most recent faithful companion, Sophie.

Sue was a presence in the lives of her family. She took an avid role in her children's busy school and church activities, taking an interest in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities. She was the ultimate cheerleader, rarely missing an opportunity to support them in sports, band, orchestra, cheer, dance, theatre, music, or even debate events. Her thoughtfulness was cherished; she rarely missed mailing a birthday, anniversary, or thank-you card, meticulously keeping track of her ever-growing family.

She was known for being "set in her ways"—a polite way of saying she was wonderfully hard-headed and didn't bend easily. Yet, that same strength was the foundation upon which her family was built. Sue had an open-door policy toward life; whether it was her own family or a friend in need, she provided a place to call home and the comfort of family to all who crossed her threshold.

She is preceded in death by: Her beloved husband, Bill Pittman; her daughter, Billye Farmer; son-in-law, Rick; her parents, John and Pauline Miller; sister, Betty Newsom; brother, Johnny Miller; great-grandson, AJ Luera; and Joe Eaton.

She is survived by: Her sons, Larry Pittman (Jeanie) and Randy Pittman (Kellie); her brother-in-law and sister-in-law; and a vast, loving legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Sue leaves behind a legacy of strength rooted in her deep belief in the Lord, a family who will forever cherish her memory and a reminder to all of us to live life as fully as she did.
