Santos Jesus Martinez, 78, of Hale Center Texas, passed away on May 26th 2026.

Visitation is Monday June 1st 12pm-8pm with Rosary at 7pm at Eternity Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 2nd 10 am at Saint Joseph's church. Burial to follow at the Saint Joseph's cemetery. Meal to follow burial at the Saint Agnus Hall.

Santos was born in Hale Center, Texas to Alfred Martinez and Martha Martinez on January 30th of 1948. Santos later moved to Fort Stockton, Texas where he met and married his spouse Josephine (Josie) Rojas Martinez. They lived the next 61 years together raising their family. Santos worked in the oilfield until his retirement. Santos and Josie raised 7 children, Jesse Martinez, Michael Martinez, twins Debra and Sandra Martinez, Shane Velasquez,Steven Hernandez, & Jennifer Aguirre.

Santos has 30 grandkids and 23 great grand children.

Santos is remembered for his work ethic and heart of gold. If Santos crossed paths with you, you always had a good time and a place to call home. Santos will be greatly missed by all his loved ones.

Santos is proceeded in death his father Alfred Martinez and mother Martha Martinez, sons Jesse Martinez and Michael Martinez, grandsons Edward Ramirez & Cedric Hernandez, granddaughters Martika Martinez & Alexis Aguirre.

Santos is survived by wife Josephine (Josie) Martinez, daughters Debra Martinez, Sandra Martinez, and Jennifer Aguirre; husband Jr Aguirre of Lubbock,Texas. sons Shane Velasquez and Steven Hernandez, sister Helen Villescas, brother Richard Martinez, and several grand and great grandchildren.
