Obituary

Santana Romero, 63, of Fort Stockton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 17th, 2025.

Visitation will be held from 9am to 8pm with Rosary at 7pm on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025, at Eternity Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Santana was born in Ejido Las Noria, Coahuila to Jose Ángel Romero and Maria de Jesús Tapia on July 26, 1961. He married Maria de Jesus Rivas on April 17, 1982, in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Santana was a loving and caring father that made a difference with his constant smile. The love he had for his grandchildren and family was unconditional. He enjoyed family gatherings sitting back to hear the laughter. He cherished his daily routine that began early in the morning, dropping off his grandkids at school, loving his morning coffee with his friends and going to the game room. Santana was a willing and ready helping hand to everyone, being that he was a jack of all trades, he could fix anything and work anywhere.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jose Romero and Maria De Jesus Tapia, siblings Ramiro Romero, Pedro Romero, Jesus Romero Juan Romero, Ramon Romero, Vicente Romero, Catarino Romero and Micaela Romero.

He leaves his memory to cherish to his loving wife, Maria Romero, his children Odilia (Efrain) Jacobo, Carlos (Raquel) Rey, Mayra (Samuel Valdez) Romero, Ariana Romero, brother Jose Angel Romero, grandchildren Llajaira Jacobo, Alexis Jacobo, Manuel Jacobo, Aprilette Rey, Fabian Rey, Evian Rey, Llaremy Valdez, Fernando (Nano) Valdez, Yosaries Valdez, Jainzelle (Tittel) Garcia, Evantika (Avantika)Garcia, great grandchildren Zaniyah, Zianelli, Adriana, Elian and Oviel.

The pallbearers to carry Mr. Santana will be Carlos Rey, Fabian Rey, Efrain Jacobo, Manuel Jacobo, Samuel Valdez, Fernando Valdez, Jose Angel Romero and Jose Romero.
