Romelia Padilla Hernandez, 87, of Presidio, TX, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, in Odessa, TX.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Santa Teresa de Jesus Catholic Church, Presidio, TX.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Santa Teresa de Jesus Catholic Church with Father Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial will follow at Desert Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eternity Funeral Home.

Romelia was born in Mexico to Fidel Padilla and Bernabe Rico on August 3, 1936. She married Esequiel Hernandez in 1955. Together, they made their home in Presidio, TX where they raised their children.

Romelia is preceded in death by her husband Esequiel Hernandez, parents: Bernabe Rico and Fidel Padilla, daughters: Lupita Hernandez, Rosita Hernandez, Imelda Hernandez, and Orbilia Hernandez, and siblings: Geronimo Padilla, Alfredo Padilla, Incarnacion Padilla, Ramon Padilla, Elvira Carrasco, Agustin Padilla, and Amador Vasquez.

Romelia is survived by her children, sons: Lorenzo Hernandez (wife Dolores Hernandez), Esequiel Hernandez, Jr., daughters: Teresa Ramirez (husband Felix Ramirez), Olga Ortega (husband Manuel Ortega), Bilma Hernandez, Olivia Ortiz (husband Javier Ortiz), Elvira Hernandez, 25 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and brother Jose Padilla.

Pallbearers: Jimmy Hernandez, Luis Alfredo Hernandez, Franky Ortiz, Eddie Hernandez, Christopher Hernandez and Guadalupe Garza, Jr.
