Obituary

Raquel "Martha" De Santiago Rodriguez, 65, went to her heavenly home on Monday, July 18, 2022, in Fort Stockton, TX. Her Spirit has gone home with the eternal God who she loved and served with all her heart, and she now rests in him.

Raquel was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and a respected Pastor. She was born on December 14, 1956, in Gomez Palacio, Durango to Ricardo De Santiago Rios, and Genoveva Elorreaga de Santiago. Raquel and her husband migrated to the United States of America in 1979 and were baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ in 1981. Serving God, serving her family, and serving her church was her priority. She was a pastor's wife and was in ministry alongside her husband pastoring "Iglesia Apostólica Torre Fuerte" from 1985-2006. She was a dedicated homemaker attending the needs of her family, and church. Although, she battled with her health it was a pleasure to witness her youthful-energetic personality until the end! Our mother walked fervently in her Christian faith. Despite her circumstances at times, she was a survivor, and an over comer in Jesus! Many women do noble things, but mom surpassed them all, because a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised! Proverbs 31:10-31

Raquel was preceded in death by parents Ricardo de Santiago Rios, and Genoveva Elorreaga de Santiago, son Rojelio de Santiago Elorreaga, sisters Cristina de Santiago, and Concepcion de Santiago Parra.

Raquel is survived by her loving family, husband Juan V. Rodriguez, daughter Linda (Ruben) Gonzales, son Juan (Mayra) Rodriguez Jr., daughter Elzanora (Jaime) Guerra, son Isai (Rita) Rodriguez, and son Isaac (Elsa Marie) Rodriguez, 14 beautiful grandchildren, and 3 adorable great grandchildren.

As a special request from our mom, funeral services will be private. We thank you for all your prayers and support, and for the affection you shared with our mom during her time on Earth! With much love, The Rodriguez Family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
