Paula Arredondo de Ruiz, age 86, of Coyanosa, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2025, with rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Eternity Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, with Father Francis officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Paula loved working alongside her husband when given the opportunity. For many years she worked in the fields doing hard labor to help her husband provide for their family. She enjoyed her farm animals (hens, pigs and goats) always treating them like family. A woman of many talents, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, quilting and gardening, often sharing her produce with family and friends. Her perseverance and resilience were a testament to her indomitable spirit. She leaves behind the legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Her life was a living example of love, kindness and hard work.

Paula is preceded in death by her husband Jesus Ruiz Lucio, parents Camilo Arredondo and Antonia Gomez, son Rolando Ruiz, brothers Francisco Arredondo, Pedro Arredondo, Felipe Arredondo Gomez, and sisters Maria Arredondo Gomez, Maria Francisca Arredondo Gomez and Modesta Arredondo Gomez.

She is Survived by her children Jesus (Mahalia) Ruiz, Martha (Reynaldo) Baeza, Elva (Ariel) Zamora, Paula (Larry) Gonzales, Adolfo Ruiz, and Johnny Ruiz. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Rest in Peace.
