It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Oscar Manuel Villanueva. Born on December 17, 1956, Oscar was a beloved husband to Viola Villanueva. He passed away on June 27, 2024, leaving behind his loving wife to cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 12pm to 8pm with a Rosary recited at 7pm at Eternity Funeral Home.

A funeral mass will be held in his honor at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:00 am Rosary and 11:00 am Mass where family and friends will gather to bid him a fond farewell. A burial will follow at Cementerio La Merced in Marfa, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Oscar Manuel Villanueva was born in Marfa, Texas to Jose Magallanez Villanueva and Genoveva Razo Villanueva on December 17, 1956. He went to school in Marfa, Texas and later married his high school sweetheart, Viola Lopez Villanueva on February 9th, 1973, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marfa, Texas. He worked as a technician then as a Dispatcher for TDS Telecom for over twenty years. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and was proud to have served in the U.S. Army.

Oscar's warm smile and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In this time of sorrow, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Oscar, and may his legacy of love and compassion live on in our hearts forever

Oscar is preceded in death by his parents Jose Magallanez Villanueva and Genoveva Razo Villanueva and son Joe Manuel Villanueva.

He is survived by his wife Viola Lopez Villanueva, son Brandon Lee Villanueva, brothers Tony Villanueva Glen Nunez, Benny Nunez, sisters Felita Lujan and Emma Vasquez, grandchildren Quinton Villanueva, River Villanueva, Chloe Villanueva and Adia Villanueva.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Vallez, James Perales, Andres Rivera, Richard Villanueva, Sammy Vasquez and Ismael Lujan.

The family of Oscar Manuel Villanueva wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Texas Oncology in Odessa, Texas, especially to Dr. Kelash Bajaj,Pecos County Memorial Hospital Hospice, especially Courtney Garvin and TDS Telecom for their continued support.
