Matias Ornelas Velasquez, 88, of Ft Stockton, TX, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021.
Matias O Velasquez was born in Ft Stockton, TX to Ernesto and Margarita Velasquez on April 15,1933. He attended school in Ft Stockton. He married Maria Elena Velasquez on January 5, 1978, in Ft Stockton, Texas. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was awarded national defense service medal.
He is preceded in death by Parents Ernesto and Margarita Velasquez, wife Maria Elena Montanez Velasquez, Brothers Augustin Velasquez, Ernesto Velasquez, sisters Sylvia Gonzales, Esther Gonzales, Rosa Ruiz.
Matias Ornelas Velasquez is survived by Patricia Alvarado (Joel Alvarado), Ft Stockton, TX, Jesus Montanez (Deida Montanez) Odessa TX, Richard Montanez (Bertha Montanez) Lubbock TX, Matias Velasquez Jr (Charles Velasquez) San Antonio TX, Annette Velasquez (Chris Munoz) Artesia NM. 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joel Alvarado, Isai Velasquez, Rocky Montanez, Ricky Montanez Jr., Charles D Velasquez, and Chris Munoz.
