Mateo Andres Venegas entered this world on May 24, 2026, in Odessa, Texas, and passed away on May 31, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas.

Born to Sabrina Venegas and Jose Montano, Mateo spent his seven precious days surrounded by the love of his family. Though his time with us was brief, he touched countless hearts and brought immeasurable joy to those who knew and loved him. Mateo's life, however short, was a beautiful gift that will forever be treasured.

Mateo is survived by his loving parents, Sabrina Venegas and Jose Montano; his grandparents, Luis Venegas, Mahalia Ruiz (Carmen), Jose Montano, and Carmen Mandujano; and many other family members whose lives were blessed by his presence.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 3, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Coyanosa Large Community Hall.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, Texas, with Father Francis officiating. Interment will follow at Castañeda Cemetery in Coyanosa, Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Although Mateo's time on earth was short, the love he inspired will remain in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
