Martin P. Arredondo, 84 of Sanderson has gone to be with the Lord. He passed away peacefully at his home in Sanderson surrounded by family on January 21st.

Rosary will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Sanderson at 12pm on January 27th.

Funeral Mass will be Friday January 27th at St. James Catholic Church in Sanderson, TX at 1 pm.

Martin was born to Enemencia Ponce on February 10th, 1938, in Sanderson, TX. He married Rosario (Rosie) Lopez on September 16th, 1973, in Sanderson. Martin worked many construction jobs throughout Texas and retired from TXDOT in June 2000, with 20 years of service. He loved music and dancing, hanging out with friends and family and working on classic cars. He loved his wife and children with all his heart and provided them with everything they could ask for in a husband and a father.

Martin is preceded in death by his mother Enemencia Ponce, son Abel Arredondo, brothers Francisco Arredondo and Armando Ponce.

Martin is survived by his wife of 49 years Rosie Arredondo, daughter Virginia Arredondo husband Abel Hinojos of Alpine TX, son Martin Arredondo Jr. wife Letty Arredondo of Sanderson TX, daughter Paula Arredondo of Alpine TX and son Ruben Arredondo wife April Valeriano of Odessa TX. Grandchildren Daniel Arredondo, Adrian Arredondo, Ryan Diego Hinojos, Myles Arredondo, Jayce Arredondo. His 1948 and 1949 Chevrolet Coupe, brothers Juan Arredondo, Rudy Ponce, Joe Ponce and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Martin Arredondo Jr., Ruben Arredondo, Daniel Arredondo, Adrian Arredondo, Armando Ponce Jr., Richard Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers are Luis Cobos, Salvador Garza, Max Lopez, Frank Arredondo.
