Lucia Elizabeth Carrizales, 63, of Odessa, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 12, 2023, in Odessa, surrounded by her children.

Lucia was born on September 10, 1959, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua to Jose Rodriguez and Librada Armendariz. She went to school at Escuela Pitman with Hermano Casas in Ojinaga, Chihuahua and graduated as a private accountant.

Lucia is preceded by her parents, Jose Rodriguez and Librada Armendariz, son Hector Carrizales Jr., siblings Josefina Rodriguez Armendariz, Elvira Rodriguez Armendariz, Jorge Luis Rodriguez Armendariz Luis Hector Rodriguez Armendariz, Jose Jaime Rodriguez Armendariz, Jesus Alberto Rodriguez Armendariz, and Saul Dagoberto Rodriguez Armendariz.

She leaves her loving memory and legacy to cherish to her children Diana Lampkin, Lucia (Iram) Armendariz, Yadirah Lampkin, Miriam (Rochelle Diaz) Carrizales, and Ivan F. Carrizales, siblings Martha Elena Rodriguez Armendariz, Guadalupe Elva Barroso, and Ariel Eden Rodriguez Armendariz, fourteen grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews she loved as her own.

We are saddened by our mother's departure but only because she will be dearly missed. She was a very dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved fiercely and wholeheartedly. She always stood up for her convictions and genuinely tried to do right by all those she loved. She was hard working and reared six kids who honored, loved, and respected her. She left doing what she loved the most, no… not working, but helping those she could in every way she could. Her drive, passion, and desire to help others motivated her to keep going. Her love for Almighty God and her family and friends, sustained her. The greatest part of her life was her love and faith in God. We are honored and beyond grateful to have had her as a mom and friend. We appreciate all those who loved her and accompanied us in this bittersweet moment.
