Larry Levy White was born on August 3rd, 1952, in El Paso, Texas to Mary White. He passed from this life on December 26th, 2023, in Los Lunas, New Mexico.

A Memorial Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, at Eternity Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Owens officiating.

Larry is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, his brother, Leo Whittington, his precious granddaughter, Shelby, and his wife, Kim Hammond White.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren, and his siblings, James Whittington of Crane, Missouri, and Lou Wheeler of San Angelo.

Larry spent his early adulthood in service to the United States Army in Korea. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he stayed in Alpine where he earned his associate degree at Sul Ross University, apprenticing in welding. He utilized his skills in the oilfields of West Texas on the pipelines, rigs, and pump jacks that scattered our landscapes. He eventually settled in Fort Stockton and was well known in the community, owning and operating the famous Circle N with his wife and the help of his daughters. Together, they ran a rare, true, old fashioned Mom & Pop. Larry sincerely loved the citizens of Fort Stockton and enjoyed visiting with anyone and everyone who stopped at his store.

Larry was blessed with and survived by four daughters, Denise White McNutt, of Amarillo, Heather White Zubia, of Fort Stockton, Stormie White Gordon, of Fort Stockton, and Jackie White, of Austin. His daughters blessed him with 13 grandchildren, all of whom he adored. In tribute to him, his granddaughter Emmaleigh Sanchez wrote, "He was a social butterfly, effortlessly connecting with people and spreading warmth wherever he went. His beautiful soul glowed, and his generosity knew no bounds. Papaw's zest for life was contagious."

Larry's daughters would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Good Life Senior Living and Memory Care in Los Lunas, New Mexico. His end of life was complicated, but we know he always felt like he was with family.
