Kori Chavez (41), an amazing wife and mother passed away while in her mother's arms on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 1pm to 8pm with Rosary recited at 7pm at Eternity Funeral Home Chapel B.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Josephs Catholic Church with Fr. Francis officiating. Burial will take place in Marathon Cemetery at 1pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Kori was born in Fort Stockton, TX on October 29, 1983, to Esther Chavez and Ricardo Chavez.

Kori spent her childhood in Fort Stockton. She later moved to Del Rio where she attended Del Rio High School and made many lifelong friends.

After high school, she returned to Fort Stockton where she met the Love of her Life, Michael Gomez. Over the next19 years, they welcomed two sons, Davyn Mikel (17) and D'Anthony Davyd (16), and their daughter Harley Dee-Kayla (11) to their beautiful union. They raised their loving kids surrounded by family and friends.

Nothing brought Kori more joy than actively spending time with her kids, whether it was at one of their sporting events or volunteering at their schools. Kori was the most amazing mom.

Kori is survived by her husband Michael Gomez, her children Davyn, D'Anthony and Harley. Her parents Esther Chavez and Ricardo Chavez, her brother Rico Chavez, in-laws David and Josie Gomez, Grandparents Paula Chavez, Jose Chavez, Ramona Olivas and Daniel Gomez and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers: Andre' Gomez, David Gomez, Ricardo Chavez, Ruben Bernal, Ruben Ramirez, and Chris Torres.
