Karen B. Najar Dart, 68, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on February 23, 2024, in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at

First Christian Church of Fort Stockton, 200 S Rio Street in Fort Stockton, Texas with Pastor Walt Wellborn officiating.

Karen was born in Omaha, NE to Ruby & Percy Brogden on October 26, 1955. She grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and was raised by her mother, Ruby, and her Stepfather,

Oscar Estes, Sr. She married Nicholas Najar in 1994 in Corpus Christi, TX. After Nick's death in 2016, she married Michael John Dart on February 22, 2022.

Karen was a very talented Artist who loved painting ocean scenes especially of her hometown beach, Padre Island. She founded and owned Karen's Kreations for many years selling sand dollar art, ocean portraits, and made clocks out of cedar tree slabs with her artistic touches.

Karen was an avid animal lover and was often rescuing any stray that she found. She loved the outdoors and the simple life of enjoying her coffee outside every morning as the weather permitted. She had a passion for Jesus and loved hearing christian music and reading her Bible. She was most proud of her family and the life she had built. She was also often the life of the party. She made friends easily and embraced many into her family fold. She was full of life, smiles,laughter and even in her last few days, she was selfless in her concern of how her demise affected her family. Karen leaves us with zest for life, a passion for Jesus, and memories full of love and compassion. She will be missed greatly.

Karen is preceded in death by her father, Percy Brogen, and her mother and stepfather, Ruby & Oscar Estes, Sr, her husband of 22 years, Nicholas Najar, and her brother Daniel Brogden.

Karen is survived by her husband, Mike Dart, Daughter, Tami Rene' (Darren) Gloshen, Grandchildren, KatyLynn Gloshen, Joshua (Destiny) Gloshen, and Amy Gloshen, great granddaughter, Lydia Rene' Gloshen, and her forever companion & beloved dog, Sampson, all of Fort Stockton. Her sister, Stormy (Steve) Shogren of Wichita, KS, brother, Jon Tod Estes of Leaky, Texas, and many, many, nieces and nephews across the country. She is also survived by her best friend and "Sister" of 50 years, Kim Sasser Herod of Prague, Oklahoma.
