Josephine May Munoz, 83, of Fort Stockton, TX peacefully entered eternal life on Monday, January 24, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Josephine was born in Shafter, TX, to Raymond Gonzales and Bernarda Soza on September 27, 1938. She widowed in 2000. Josephine worked as a housekeeper for over 30 years. She was involved with the Guadalupana Society, was faithful to the Lady of Guadalupe, and she was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Josephine loved having her house full and surrounded by her loved ones; she also enjoyed cooking for each of them. If you ever visited Josephine, you would not leave on an empty stomach; she always had a home cooked meal, fresh tortillas, or homemade chili to share with everyone who stopped by her family home. You could also find her scratching a lottery ticket or putting together a puzzle. She enjoyed playing bingo, rolling dice, and even gambling. Josephine will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.

Josephine is proceeded in death by her parents Raymond and Bernarda Gonzales, spouse(s) Angel Gonzales, and Pedro Munoz, son(s) Angel Gonzales, Jaime Gonzales, and Refugio Gonzales.

Josephine is survived by her children, Eddie Gonzales of Fort Stockton, TX, Jackie Velasquez of Iraan, TX, Marty (Lucy) Gonzales of Perryton, TX, Gabriel Gonzales of Reno, Nevada, Chayo (Arlene) Gonzales of Alpine, TX, Benji (Jeriese) Gonzales of Fort Stockton, TX, and Peter (Cindy) Munoz of Fort Stockton, TX, brother(s) Tato (Bessie) Gonzales, Raymond Gonzales, and Ricky (Ribia) Gonzales, sister(s) Grace Moreno, and Freda (Lucas) Mesa. 22 grandchildren an several great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Ryan, Desmond, David, Alex, Anthony, Jordan, Dylan, Angel, James, and Bryan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 9:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Eternity Funeral Home Chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish-St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Fr. Francis Njoku officiating. Burial to follow at the Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
