John Thore Meli, 88, of Fort Stockton, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 2nd, 2022, at Eternity Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jim Miles officiating. A burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home of Fort Stockton, Texas.

Meli was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 14, 1934. He worked as building maintenance for the Pecos County Court House for many years until his retirement.

Meli is preceded in death by his wife Ora Meli, daughter-in-law Deborah Felts and son-in-law Don Kime.

He is survived by son Bob Felts and daughter Vicki Kime, grandchildren James Felts, Margaret Felts, Patricia Castro, Brooke Felts, and Annalee Felts, and many great grandchildren he loved dearly and his furry friends that he just adored "Rocky and Susan".
