Lucio Ruiz
Jul 10, 1938 — Nov 25, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jesus Ruiz Lucio, who was called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the age of 87 in Coyanosa, Texas.
Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Ruiz Capuchin and Elvira Lucio, his son Rolando Ruiz, his brothers Nicolas Ruiz, Jose Rodriguez, and his sister Guadalupe De Luna.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Paula Arredondo de Ruiz, and their children Jesus (Mahalia) Ruiz, Martha (Reynaldo) Baeza, Elva (Ariel) Zamora, Paula (Larry) Gonzales, Adolfo Ruiz, and Juan Manuel Ruiz. He also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who will remember him fondly.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and an ardent farmer. Jesus had a lifelong passion for farming beginning his farming career in Millersview, Texas and St. Lawrence, Texas for Edwin Wilde. He later relocated to Coyanosa, Texas as a foreman for Wilde Brothers Farms of Wall, Texas. In 1990 he branched out independently, continuing his farming career alongside his family.
Jesus was known for his friendly nature and sharp sense of humor. He made friends wherever he went and always knew how to bring a smile to others. His kindness, honesty, and willingness to help those in need were hallmarks in his character. Jesus was deeply committed to his faith, enjoyed reading his bible and instilled in his family a strong work ethic and a deep respect for family values that will live on in the generations to come.
