Obituary

Jaime Saenz Acosta, 71, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, in his home in Odessa, TX.

Jaime was born in Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Natividad Acosta and Alicia Saenz on October 29, 1953. He married Elisa Cabello in February 2015 in Pecos County. Jaime worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the pipeline industry. By the grace of God, Brother Jaime, as he was known at church, came to know the LORD and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at Reach Apostolic Community in 2017 by Pastor Anatolio Bracamontes. He attended church and served the LORD passionately until his last breath. He was a great person loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Jaime was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife of 41 years, Maria Rodriguez Acosta.

He is survived by his wife, Elisa Cabello Acosta; his children Esteban Cabello and Jaimee Acosta, his children from his first marriage; Elizabeth Baeza (Julian Baeza), Maria Acosta, Jaime Acosta (Rachel Acosta), and Melissa Juarez (Jorge Juarez).

He is also survived by his siblings; Lazaro Acosta, Natividad Acosta, Efren Acosta, and Arcelia Urias; his grandchildren; Heather Gavaldon, Natalie Gavaldon, Britney Acosta, Steven Acosta, Amberly Acosta, Alexandria Renteria, Jaime Acosta, Brian Acosta, Jorge Amezquita, Nicholas Amezquita, Jaquelyn Amezquita, Octavio Rangel, and Noah Acosta; his great-grandchildren; I'Zeah Gavaldon, Ezekiel Ramirez, X'Zander Gavaldon, A'Zailee Gavaldon, Zenellie Ramirez, Kamila Acosta, Omar Ibarra, Jaime Acosta-Ibarra, Gael Amezquita, Yareli Amezquita, Asael Amezquita, and Leilani Amezquita.

Pallbearers will be Steven Acosta, Alexandria Renteria, Brian Acosta, Jorge Amezquita, Nicholas Amezquita, and Esteban Cabello.

Visitation will be held at Eternity Funeral Home, 600 East Dickinson Blvd, Fort Stockton, TX 79735 on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (Doors will be open at 8:30 a.m.) at Eternity Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
