Obituary

Isabel Banda Spence, peacefully passed away on March 1, 2024, in Fort Stockton, Texas, after a sudden decline in her health. She was 83 years old. Isabel was born on July 1, 1940, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Luis Castelo Banda and Consuelo Gutierrez Banda.

She met the love of her life, Damron "Buddy" Spence and were married in 1973. Together, they raised three sons, Jay, Lee, and Lynn.

Isabel loved being with her family and enjoying her time with all of them. Isabel was loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed…especially her smile.

Isabel is survived by her sons, Jay Spence and Lynn Spence; her Grandchildren, Monica (Chris), Nikki (Tommy), and Adrian; and her Great Grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kyleigh, Elliana, and Logan. Isabel will forever be remembered by her siblings Priscilla (Ismael) Bueno, Carolina Ronquillo, Lupita Banda, many nieces and nephews, and her stepmother, Guillerminia Banda.

Isabel was preceded in death by her parents Luis and Consuelo Banda; her brother, Joaquin Banda Sr.; her husband, Buddy Spence; her son, Lee Spence; her daughters in law, Terry Spence and Tammy Spence.

Isabel's entire family would like to thank all the staff at Pecos County Memorial Hospital, Shannon Hospital and Home Hospice for their help and support during Isabel's illness.

Family and friends are invited to join Isabel's services on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at 9:00 am Rosary and Memorial Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish - St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Ft. Francis officiating. Burial of cremation will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
