Dan was born Sept 8, 1967, in Fort Stockton, TX, to Jesus and Enedina Gonzales. He is the youngest of four brothers—Steve Perez, Jimmy, and Jesse Jr.
Dan married Annette Brewer, and together they raised Alexandra, Matthew, and Tiffany. His greatest joy was his granddaughter, Sophia.
Dan never walked into a room where he didn't know someone. He charmed strangers, he created laughter, and you found a new best friend in his smile. Dan embraced every moment with enthusiasm; he encouraged you to travel, to find experiences, and live life as big as you could.
Dan loved his brothers. He inspired his brothers to be their best selves, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and live a life with purpose all while reminding them that the best part of being their brother was that they had him.
A man of unwavering love, he poured his heart into raising his and Annette's children and took immense pride in his granddaughter. If you asked him, he'd say his greatest life's work was being a grandpa; it brought him unparalleled happiness and a sense of fulfillment like nothing else.
Preceding Dan in death are his parents, Jesus Sr and Enedina, his brother, Jimmy, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Remaining to cherish Dan's memory are his wife Annette; children, Alexandra, Matthew, and Tiffany; granddaughter, Sophia; brothers, Steve Perez (Norma) and Jesse Jr, (Camber); sister-in-law, Ella Gonzales; nieces and nephews, Laura, Sarah, Jessica, Matthew, Jordan, and Brian; and countless friends who experienced Dan's infectious zest for life.
Pallbearers will be Charles Salazar, Sal Salazar Jr, Remie Ramos, Bobby Blanchard, Bryan Hook & Paul Valenzuela, honorary pallbearer, Jaime Casteneda.
