Frank Lowell Avent, age 83, of Fort Davis, Texas passed away on August 3, 2022 in Fort Stockton, Texas.

At his request no services are being held.

Frank Lowell was born in Graham , Texas to Elmer Lee and Rudell Avent on April 7, 1939. He married Carol Ruth on February 7, 1991.

He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BS in Physics. He worked principally at NASA and Texas Instruments before becoming self employed in 1985 through 2000. He was awarded a patent for one of his designs in Fire Control Systems.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his spouse Carol and his sisters Jan Avent and Rowena Lee Ward and his daughter from a previous marriage, Lisa as well as grandchildren Kendra and Diedre.

Memorials can be made to the McDonald Observatory or other charity or institution.
