Flavia Leyva, or "Favi" as many knew her, passed away on May 5, 2026 in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Burial services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 30th, 2026 at East Hill Cemetery with Father Francis Njoku of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish officiating. Arrangements are made by Eternity Funeral Home.

Flavia was born in Camargo, Chihuahua to Benigno and Filomena Ramírez Sandoval on November 25, 1970. She married Bernardo Leyva in Dallas, Texas, in 1995, but had been together since they were just 15 and 16 years old. She was a housewife, and cared for everything at home, while her husband worked to provide for his family. She was an amazing cook; remembered for her Asado, Chivo, Caldo de Pescado con Camarones, her big flour tortillas and her homemade Corn tortillas. She loved to keep a spotless house, garage-sale, thrift shop, sing and make sure everyone around her was taken care of, leaving her needs and wants til last.

Flavia is preceded in death by her Spouse, Bernardo Guevara Leyva, her mother, Filomena Sandoval Moreno, her brother, Benigno Ramirez Sandoval, and her two angel babies, a daughter and son.

Flavia is survived by her daughter, Irassema Leyva Hernandez, and spouse Andreu S. Hernandez. Her sisters, Maria Candelaria Ramírez Sandoval, Maria de Jesus Ramírez Sandoval, Maria del Carmen Mendoza Sandoval, Her father Benigno Ramirez Ramírez; countless Godchildren, nieces and nephews, and her grandpup, Eevee.
