Emma Gonzales Gallegos was born on April 27, 1933, in Fort Stockton, Pecos County Texas and was called to eternal rest on Thursday, January 11, 2024. She was born to her parents Bonifacio Lugo B.L "Eho" Gonzales and Aurelia Nieto Gonzales.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Thursday, January 18, 2024, with a Mass of Life Celebration to follow at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish-St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Francis Njoku officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Our Madresita was raised in a loving family with four brothers, Robert, Bonifacio Jr, (Bonny), Nick (Nicanor) Frank and sister Nancy Rodriguez.

Ben & Emma lovingly but firmly raised five boys, Edward, Joe Ben (JB), Gilbert, Oscar, and Charlie. She became wiser in her ways and loosened up somewhat with Oscar and Charlie, which was quite an accomplishment in itself.

Emma and Ben lovingly raised the boys to participate in Church and instilled in them to be responsible, caring individuals.

Emma was active throughout her boy's activities in Fort Stockton schools. She participated in PTAs at Butz, Alamo and later was an active participant in other activities in Jr High and High School. She followed her boys to Little League games and any other activities they were involved in. She inspired her boys by playing with a ladies' softball team.

Emma was a devout Catholic and attended St. Joseph's Catholic church and proudly encouraged her boys to do the same. She would make sure Edward and JB would get up at 6:30 am masses to serve as altar boys when it was their turn.

Emma and Ben were proud members of the Ft. Stockton LULAC, men's and ladies' organizations. They loved to go to dances and celebrated on many occasions at weddings and other civic organizations. They were active in the Fiesta de San Juan and the 74 Club Black and White which was the start of the annual Black & White New year's celebrations.

Surviving siblings are Frank "Chate" N Gonzales (Oralia) and brother Nick "Nicanor" Gonzales and sister Nancy Rodriguez (David).

Surviving sons to carry on her legacy are Edward (Teresa), Joe Ben, "JB" (Steve), Gilbert (Patricia), Oscar, and Charlie (Mary).

Emma is survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
