Obituary

Elpidio "Pete" P. Garcia was born in Fort Stockton Texas to Nicolas David Garcia and Paulina Pina on March 3rd, 1941. He attended school in Fort Stockton. He shared 50 years of marriage with the love of his life, Delia G. Garcia. Throughout his life, he worked some years in the oil field industry and also as a cashier alongside his wife for the Hammond/White family. Anywhere you encountered one of the Garcia's, you always found the other, they were inseparable. Shopping at Walmart or eating at their favorite spot, "Bienvenidos". To many he was known as "Pete" but to us he was our own "Pipa". Pete enjoyed spending much of his down time working in his garden, planting chile, tomatoes, watermelons, pumpkins and whatever flowers his love wanted. He also enjoyed working on word puzzles and watching football. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Drawing little doodles on napkins and playing pool with anyone that was willing to lose, as he would say. Pete has always been known for being hard working, strong-willed, stubborn, courageous, supportive and loving, especially with his family, being the best guardian here on earth, he has now taken his place as our guardian angel in heaven.

Elpidio is preceded in death by his wife Delia G. Garcia, parents Nicolas David Garcia and Paulina Pina Garcia, brothers Camilo, Frank, Domingo and Moses. Sisters, Anita, Pasquala "Calita" and niece Patricia "Pat".

Elpidio leaves his loving memory to cherish to his sister Elodia Garcia, daughters Vanessa (Adam) Gonzales-Torres, Sylvia Madrid, son David Garcia, grandchildren Derek Rocha, Aissa (Max) Valle, Madicruz (Gustavo) Madrid-Carrasco, great grandchildren Aaliyah, Viana, Isaiah, Cruz Martin, Makayla, Derek Lee, Meliyah, Nevaeh, Alissa, Max, Lexi and baby Ezrah Santiago.

The pallbearers will be Adam Torres, Cruz Rocha, Gustavo Carrasco, Max Valle, Jacob Garcia and Maurice Garcia.

Memorials may be given to Eternity Funeral Home, Vanessa Gonzales, Sylvia Madrid and Elodia Garcia. The family of Elpidio P. Garcia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Medina, PCMS, Focus Care, and PCMH Home Hospice for all the support, kind and caring attention that was given during this time.
