Obituary

Dois Elda Clawson of Fort Stockton passed away on May 21st, 2024 in Fort Stockton. A memorial will be held during the Sunday service on May 26th at 10 am at the Northside Church.

Dois was born in Hobbs, New Mexico to Walter and Eveline Clawson on October 23rd, 1940. She married Ray House Sr. in Andrews, TX on November 28th 1957. They welcomed 3 children. In 1965 they moved to fort Stockton where she lived out the rest of her life. Dois was a homemaker while she was raising her kids. She did secretarial work for their family business and also the TDCJ where she later retired. Dois was well known for many things; her beautiful yard, crocheting beautiful Afghans and her famous banana nut bread that she loved to bake for all of her family and friends.

Dois is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Eveline Clawson, her sister Pat Smith, her brother Walter Clawson Jr, her daughter Pat Ivie, son-in-law David Ivie and her soulmate Ray House Sr.

Dois is survived by her daughter Bonnie Norred, her son Ray House Jr. and his wife Ellie, 3 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
