Obituary

Delia G. Garcia, 74, of Fort Stockton, peacefully took her last breath on Friday, April 12, 2024, in Fort Stockton.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 1pm to 8pm with a Rosary recited at 7pm at Eternity Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Josephs Catholic Church with Fr. Njoku Francis officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Delia G. Garcia was born in Fort Stockton, Texas to Reyes Gomez and Carmen Hernandez on July 13, 1949. She attended Fort Stockton High School and shared her life in marriage of 50 years with Elpidio P. Garcia. She worked as a cashier for the Hammond – White Family for over 30 years. To many she was known as "The Circle N Lady". Delia was very dedicated to working hard, supporting her family and loving not only her animals, but all she ever encountered. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed spending time reading, baking cupcakes and always adding pecans to the mix, cooking and being present for any events her grandchildren and great grandchildren participated in. She is best described as a feisty, strong-minded, loving matriarch, that will truly and deeply be cherished and missed.

Delia is preceded in death by her father Reyes Gomez and mother Carmen Hernandez.

She is survived by daughters Sylvia Madrid, Vanessa (Adam) Gonzales, grandchildren Derek Rocha, Aissa (Max) Madrid, Madicruz (Gustavo), great grandchildren, Aailyah, Viana, Isaiah, Cruz Martin, Makayla, Derek Lee, Meliyah, Nevaeh, Alissa, Max, Lexi, and Baby Ezrah Santiago.

As she is laid to rest, pallbearers will be Adam Torres, Max Valle, Cruz Rocha, Gustavo Carrasco, Derek Rocha, Tomas Gomez who will carry her with love and reverence.

Memorials may be given to immediate family, Sylvia Madrid and Vanessa Gonzales.

The family of Delia wishes to extend their deepest and sincerest thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of Pecos County Memorial Hospital and Focus Care Nursing Home.
