We bid farewell to Charles David Curry, 78, of Sanderson, TX, who passed away on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, at his home in Sanderson, TX.
C. D. Curry was born in Fort Worth, TX to Lawrence Jefferson Curry and Ruth Estelle Curry on July 13th, 1946. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from September 4th, 1969, to September 3rd, 1975. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. During his time of service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. In 1979, Charlie moved to Sanderson TX where he met his wife of 31 years, Sherry. Charlie was known among the community for his dedication to his work and skill and craftsmanship as a carpenter, as well as being the manager at the airport.
C. D. Curry was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Jefferson Curry, his mother Ruth Estelle Curry, and son John Robert Kelly.
C.D. Curry is survived by his wife Sherry Renee Curry, son Joshua Scott Kelly, daughters Jade Nicole Williams, Jaime Linda Cleveland, Regan Camill Parker, and Eva Katherine Newell, his sisters Barbara Jenkins and Shirley King, and his 18 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 30th at 10:30am at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Sanderson, Texas.
