Celestino Acosta's journey on this Earth was one of courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication to his family, community, and faith. Born on April 6, 1940, to Lazaro and Ursula Valenzuela Acosta, his life was a tapestry of service and compassion that was completed here on earth on April 8th, 2024.

After graduating from Ft Stockton High School, Celestino served his country in the Army as a military policeman, stationed in Panama. His commitment to excellence led him to Sul Ross University, where he further honed his skills and knowledge. He married Paula Aguilera, and together they embarked on a life filled with love and shared experiences.

Celestino's career path was as diverse as it was impactful. From his years in law enforcement in Ft Stockton, Alpine, and Odessa to his transition to installing elevators on oil rigs, he faced challenges head-on with unwavering determination. Despite a serious injury while working on a rig, he pivoted to become a certified drug abuse counselor in Texas, a role in which he offered hope and support to those in need.

In his later years, Celestino found solace and inspiration in attending Mass at San Miguel Arcangel Catholic Church in Midland, where his faith continued to guide him. He was a pillar of strength for his family, surviving by his sons Orlando, Gabriel, and Paul, grandchildren Isabella, David, Amber Nicole, Jose Luis, Seth, and Mateo, and siblings Ramon Gonzales (Cleotilde) and Manuela Garrison (Robert Wayne).

While he is preceded in death by his parents, wife Paula, and siblings Elena Ramos, Teodora San Miguel, and Maria Gonzalez, as well as nephew Raymond Gonzales Jr., Celestino's spirit will forever live on through the cherished memories shared by those who were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and love. His legacy of service and dedication will continue to inspire generations to come.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Memorial Services will follow at 10:00 am on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Francis officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
