Carolina Banda Ronquillo, age 79, of Fort Stockton, passed away Saturday morning, March 7, 2026, at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born May 23, 1946, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Luis Castelo Banda and Consuelo Gutierrez Banda.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2026, at Eternity Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2026, at Eternity Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
Carol retired from the Fort Stockton Independent School District. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking and everyone always loved her chocolate sheet cake
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Luis and Consuelo Banda; her brother, Joaquin Banda Sr.; her sister and brother-in-law, Isabel and Buddy Spence; her husband, Isidro Ronquillo; her nephew, Lee Spence; her stepmother, Guillermina Banda; and her brother-in-law, Ismael Bueno.
Carol is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Christina; her grandchildren, Jason, Frankie, Nevay, Novalee, and Brantley; her great grandson, Ambrose; her sisters, Priscilla Bueno and Lupita Lopez; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol's entire family would like to thank all the staff at Pecos County Memorial Hospital, Medical Center Hospital, Shannon Hospital and Fresenius Kidney Care for their help and support during Carol's illness.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
