Carolina R. Leyva, 65, of Presidio, TX passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, in Presidio County.
Rosary will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Santa Teresa de Jesus Catholic Church with Funeral Mass to follow at 2:30 with Father Mike Alcuino officiating. Burial to follow at Desert Hills Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
Carolina was born on November 04, 1957, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco Rodriguez Sr., and Benita Hinojos. She attended school in Ojinaga and married Joel T. Leyva in October of 1985 also in Ojinaga. For countless years Caro was employed with Presidio Valley Farms where she began as a field worker and later, she became a crew leader because of her remarkable work ethics. Caro retired after 22 years as a cafeteria cook with PISD. Caro, mother, and wuela was a dedicated pillar for us all. She was full of life and always willing to take a risk gambling on her lottery tickets.
Carolina R. Leyva is preceded in death by Carlota Baeza, Benita Rodriguez, Facundo Rodriguez, and Mario Rodriguez.
Carolina Leyva and Irma Rodriguez took each other by the hand and gained their wings together.
Caro is survived by her husband of 37 years Joel T. Leyva; her beautiful daughters Monica Leyva (Jose Antonio Lujan), and Claudia Leyva (Elmer Martinez); grandchildren: Jose Axel Lujan, Dayami Martinez, Xitlali Martinez, Jayden Anthony Lujan, and Jair Avyel Lujan; Father Francisco Rodriguez; two sisters: Rosa Rios, and Leticia Tharp; two brothers: Manuel Rodriguez, and Francisco Rodriguez Jr.; Caro is also survived by numerous of extended family and friends.
The Rodriguez and Leyva family wish to extend our sincere appreciation for all the outpouring of love that everyone has shown our beautiful Caro and our family during these difficult moments.
