Antonio "Tony" Mesa Urias, 82, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2025, in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Eternity Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Francis Njoku officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eternity Funeral Home.

Antonio "Tony" Mesa Urias was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Santiago and Irene Urias on January 21, 1943. He married Rosantina "Rosie" Urias on August 24, 1968, in Ozona, Texas. He graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1963. Tony was a Plant Operator for Mobil and later retired from Duke Energy. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1967 as an Airman First Class.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Irene Urias, and his sisters, Eustolia "Toli" Avila and Asteria "Yella" Hernandez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosie Urias; his sons, Anthony Urias (wife, Amanda) and Aaron Urias (wife, Ashley); his siblings, Aurora Gutierrez, Jimmy Urias (wife, Mary), Petra "Nila" Acosta (husband, Benjamin), Ologadia "Oly" Martinez (husband, Richard), Gumecindo "Gummy" Urias (wife, Corina), and Lorine Sotomayor. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew (wife, Sierra), Amaya, Alonso, Addison, and Aaron Ryan, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Paul Hernandez, Jorge Benavente Jr., Humberto "Bert" Gutierrez, Carlos Borrego, Felipe Castro Jr., and Martin Munoz.

Tony was a proud, happy man who loved his family unconditionally. He and Rosie built a home filled with love and raised their children with strong values. He took pride in ensuring his sons earned a college education, both attending Texas A&M University, which made him a devoted Aggie fan. He planned family vacations to give his loved ones experiences beyond their daily lives, and one of his greatest joys was attending his grandchildren's events. Gathering with his siblings for coffee and snacks was a cherished tradition they all enjoyed.

Tony served his country with honor, and in 2019, he was blessed to take an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. alongside his brothers and brother-in-law. He loved meeting with fellow veterans to share stories from their time in service and took great pride in attending Veterans Day celebrations throughout the community each year.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The memories he leaves behind will be treasured by all whose lives he touched.
