Amelia Arizpe, 86, of Snyder, TX, passed away on March 30th, 2026, in Midland, TX.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Sunday, April 5th, 2026, with Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Eternity Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 6th, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Francis Officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Amelia was born in Boquillas del Carmen, Coahuila, to Dolores Ureste and Arcadia Rivera on January 11, 1940. She married her first husband, Jesus Moran, in Acuna, Mexico. She became a widow and later married Hermila Arizpe. She loved her plants and enjoyed caring for them year-round as much as she could. She enjoyed sewing and making outfits for her grandchildren, especially in their younger years. What she was. Best known for her cooking!! She enjoyed making everyone happy with her delicious dishes.

Amelia is preceded in death by her first husband, Jesus Moran, and her second husband, Hermila Arizpe, her parents, Arcadia Rivera and Dolores Ureste. Her siblings Matilde Sanchez, Isaura Sauceda, Ebaristo Rivera, Francisco Rivera, and Jose Angel Rivera.

Amelia is survived by her children, Mario Rivera of Midland, TX, Jose and wife Lucia Moran of Snyder, TX, and Maria and husband Ramon Borrego of Snyder, TX. Grandchildren, Amanda and husband Juan of San Angelo, their children, Juan Jr. and Jaqueline Franco. Martha Ruiz of Snyder, TX, and her children, Alexia, Yessenia, AJ, Max, and Victoria Ruiz. Mario and wife Cristal Rivera of Lubbock, TX, and their children Aybree, Ariyah, Maddox, and Aleyna Rivera. Maria and husband Adrian Hernandez of Snyder, TX. Jose and wife, Shelbi Rivera of Snyder, TX, and their children, JJ and Julian Rivera. Anna Rivera and her children, Destinee, Alizayha, Zayhlee, and Serenity Rivera of Snyder, TX. Jesus and wife Maria Borrego of Snyder, TX, and their children, Enrique, Mia, Kevin Borrego, and Jonathan Valdez.
