Agustin was not only a hero to his family but to the community of Sanderson as well. During the Sanderson flood of 1965, Agustin saved several lives from the treacherous waters. He was an avid trapper who bought and sold furs for many years. A sports enthusiast, Agustin enjoyed golf, baseball, and fishing all his life and was the envy of many 30-year-olds when he was in his 50s, still playing a good game. He enjoyed watching Tiger Woods, Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Cowboys even though he was always yelling at them. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. He traveled all over Texas to watch them compete in various sports.
A special thanks to Butch Maldonado, Joe Victor Maldonado, and Pecos County Memorial Hospital Hospice for all their help during this time.
