Agapito "Rafa" Giron Quezada, 69, of Fort Stockton, TX reunited with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his residence in Fort Stockton, TX.
Visitation will be Friday, October 29, 2021, from 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. at Eternity Funeral Home, located at 600 E. Dickinson Blvd., Fort Stockton, TX 79735.
Funeral Services for Mr. Agapito will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Templo Agua Viva Iglesia, located at 1009 HWY 289 (Sanderson HWY), Fort Stockton, TX 79735 with Vicente Cabello, officiating. Burial to follow immediately afternoon funeral services at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eternity Funeral Home.
Agapito was born to Magarito Giron and Ofelia Quezada on August 6, 1952. He married his beloved wife Ernestina (Tina) M. Giron in August of 1974, in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He worked with Clayton Williams as a foreman for many years. Later in life, he pursed his passion to go into business for himself and open an auto mechanic shop in which he did for several years. Agapito was very dedicated to his career. Unfortunately, he had to close his shop due to his illness. In 2016, he lost the love of his life Ernestina (Tina) and in 2015, he lost his beloved son Christopher Michael (Rafaelito) Acosta. He had a passion for playing guitar and fixing cars. He was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading his bible. Agapito was a devoted husband and father. His family will cherish all the memories of him, and he will be missed by all those who loved him.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Margarito Giron and Ofelia Quezada, sister Margarita Giron, two sons Joel Lopez, and Christopher Michael (Rafaelito) Acosta.
Agapito is survived by his two brothers Inez Giron and Roberto Giron, daughters Norma Tarango and Brenda Huichapa, and Linda Valles, daughter in law Rebecca Mata, son Gabriel Vela, grandchildren Chris Valles, Mason Lopez, Francisco Huichapa, Saznie Valles, Cassandra Kelly, and Justin Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Christopher Valles, Mason Lopez, Francisco Huichapa, Justin Smith, Gabriel Hernandez, Luis Giron, and Gabriel Vela.
