Obituary

Abilia E. Prieto of Fort Stockton passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the age of 90, surrounded by her family. She was a housewife, mother and loving grandmother.

Visitation and viewing will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 12pm to 8pm with a Rosary recited at 7pm at Eternity Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 10am at St Agnes Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish North Campus with Fr. Francis officiating. The burial will take place at a later date in Marfa, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Abilia was born in Cuauhtemoc Chihuahua Mexico on March 6th, 1934, to Jose Angel and Sofia Estrada. She Married Francisco J. Prieto on January 30th, 1965, and had five children. They moved to Fort Stockton in 1981 where they raised their children.

Abilia was proceeded in death by her parents Jose Angel and Sofia Gomez Estrada. Her husband Francisco J. Prieto and her brothers and sisters.

Abilia is survived by her sons Martin Prieto (Wife Velma), Jose Prieto, Arturo Prieto, Jesus Prieto (Wife Mireya), Daughter Maria Prieto Ontiveros (Husband Xavier L. Ontiveros), 6 grandchildren, Jesus Arturo, Bruce Esteban, Vivianna, Isaac, Jacob and Brianna Prieto.

She will be remembered by her smile, cooking, her kindness, and her advice. Abilia loved her family unconditionally and they meant the world to her. There is nothing she would not do for them at any time in their lives.
